Albert is currently a Product Manager at Canadian startup, OTI Lumionics. Albert has held positions in the private, public and non-profit sectors in industries such as hospitality, defense and standardization. Passionate about community building, Albert had founded a professional development initiative for over 250 graduate students at the University of Toronto and worked in the local chapter of Canada-wide events for Science Rendezvous. In Albert’s spare time, he is an avid board game hobbyist with a collection of 75 games, escape room game enthusiast and enjoys unplugging from civilization by backcountry camping.
This is Albert’s third year on Out on Bay Street and was motivated join after attending the annual conference in 2013.

Michael Cormack is currently pursuing his CPA designation working as a Staff Accountant at KPMG LLP. He completed his undergraduate degree in business administration at Western University’s Ivey Business School and has a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. Returning to Out on Bay Street for his second year in the position of Corporate Treasurer, Michael continues to improve the financial processes of the organization.
Michael understands the value of maintaining a professional network and is very excited to work with Out on Bay Street to offer students the opportunities and resources to do the same.

Marshal is a passionate individual looking to make an impact on the people around him and the community he lives in. He graduated from the Queen’s School of Business in 2012 and currently works as an accountant for KPMG in the consumer markets division. During his time at school, Marshal enjoyed 3 years on the Varsity Soccer Team, and helped organize two competitions for students across Canada. Marshal’s involvement in OOBS stems from his desire to merge his passion for business and diversity into one initiative. He is looking to get more people involved in the annual conference and help to extend the networks of students and professional alike within the business LGBT community. In his spare time, Marshal enjoys playing soccer, reading, working out and many other various hobbies!

Colan is a consultant in Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk group, which helps organizations anticipate, measure, and manage risks. Driven by a desire to connect students with opportunities in business, Colan first joined Out on Bay Street as the Content Development Associate for the Annual Conference. An incorrigible introvert, Colan loves Coldplay, hates being cold called, and occasionally experiences cold feet. Colan graduated from the Honors Business Administration program at Ivey Business School.

Zohra will be graduating this summer from University of Toronto, Rotman Commerce Program with a Management degree that concentrates in Marketing. Throughout her program, she was heavily involved in various leadership roles ranging from Astronomy to LGBTQ programming. In the past, she was the President of Rotman Commerce Pride Alliance, Committee member of Lead with Pride Conference, and a Research Assistant. Previously, Zohra was the lead for the Women’s Speaker Series initiative, and was inspired to get involved after attending and assisting the Annual Conference. She is very excited for another wonderful year of programming and is looking forwarding to seeing you at the upcoming events.

Denny is a 4th year Economics student at Western University, and will be pursuing a Master in Management Analytics at the Smith School of Business (Queen’s University) upon graduation. He is an active student leader who has held various leadership and marketing-related positions both on- and off-campus.
Denny has a broad range of volunteer and work experiences at the local and international level. From working at one of the fastest-growing startups in Europe, to serving as a Director at a celebrity-founded non-profit organization. This summer, he will be starting full-time with Wal-Mart Canada as part of their Developing Accelerated Retail Experience (DARE) program.
This is Denny’s first involvement with Out on Bay Street, so he looks forward to bringing a fresh perspective to the organization.

Steven Lewis is Legal Counsel for Cancer Care Ontario, the Ontario government’s advisor on cancer, renal systems, and access to care for key health services.
Steven’s legal experience comes with a passion for change and desire to improve his community. He has been a lifelong volunteer involved with health and diversity issues. He has served in advisory, management, fundraising and direct care roles and been recognized with individual awards for his work including the ‘Law Society of Upper Canada’s Diversity Equity and Inclusivity Award’ for contributions to historically disadvantaged groups.
Currently Steven also sits on the National Executive of the Canadian Bar Association’s Equality Committee as well as the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association’s Health Law and SOGIC Sections. He is also a volunteer with SickKids Hospital and Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer.
Steven holds a BSc in Gerontology and Health Sciences as well as a Juris Doctor. He has been with Out on Bay for several years and looks forward to the 10th Anniversary being the best year yet!

Tiffany is currently a Management Consulting Analyst at Accenture and is a recent graduate of Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto. In addition to working in consulting, Tiffany has experience working in the healthcare, venture capital and consumer packaged goods industries. As a student, she led the Rotman Commerce Consulting Association and a volunteer consulting initiative. Outside of work, she is a traveler, a foodie, a dodgeball player, and an electronic music enthusiast. This is Tiffany’s first year on the Out On Bay Street team but has been an avid OOBS attendee and case competition winner in the past.

Anthony is an Internationally Trained Lawyer from Venezuela. He is currently a licensing candidate of the Law Society of Upper Canada who is doing his articles at Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited. He completed an LLM in International Business Law and a second one in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. He volunteered as a student representative and organized workshops and events for internationally trained lawyers to provide information about the licensing process for lawyers in Canada.
While finishing his legal studies, Anthony completed an eight months full time internship in the legal department of Nissan Canada Inc. where he became a member of Nissan’s diversity committee. Prior immigrating to Canada, Anthony worked at Deloitte Venezuela as a Corporate Commercial Lawyer. He believes that having diversity and inclusion in the workplace are key components for growth and productiveness. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys boxing, bootcamp and obstacle course races. Also, he loves trying out new international cuisine, going to theater plays, concerts and movies.

Phil is a concurrently studying towards a Master of Business Administration at the Rotman School of Management and a Master of Global Affairs at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. As part of his graduate studies, he has interned at an international organization in Washington D.C., and will be working as a summer associate in management consulting this summer. Before his graduate studies, he worked on special projects with an executive search firm, supporting its 2013 expansion in Canada. Phil has organized Out On Bay Street’s awards since 2015 and is driven by a commitment to inspire LGBTQ students to pursue professional careers. He volunteers with his university’s G20 Research Group as Compliance Director for fiscal policy commitments. Previously, he has volunteered as a board member with a national non-profit, as a youth spokesperson for an international NGO and as a Canadian representative to that NGO’s world conference. He grew up in Ottawa, and has lived for a year each in Amsterdam, where he completed his undergraduate studies in economics and political science, and the Swiss Alps, where he worked as an alpine guide and administrator. Phil’s interests include city building, politics, international organizations, camping, biking, and travel.

Benjamin Vandorpe is a recent graduate of the Juris Doctor programme at Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a transgender male from Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a strong interest and background in LGBTQ initiatives. He is the President and Founder of JusticeTrans, a mobile phone application and website that offer free legal information about transgender rights across Canada. He has also been involved with the Osgoode OUTlaws and the Nova Scotia Youth Project. He hopes to continue supporting the LGBTQ community, particularly students, through his involvement with Out on Bay Street

Matthew is a creative and strategic marketer with over 2 years accumulated experience in event, communications, sponsorship and brand marketing. He has worked for companies such as the Royal Bank of Canada, TELUS, Marin Marketing Group, and IMG Canada. Matthew’s diverse portfolio includes the IIHF 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships, 2014 Grey Cup, 2015 RBC Sports Day in Canada, Toronto MasterCard Fashion Week and marketing and communications projects for various brands.
He graduated with First-Class honours from the Sport Management program at Brock University and is currently working towards a Certificate of Brand Management from the University of Toronto. During Matthew’s time at Brock University, he completed an international exchange at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and played on the varsity rugby team.
In his spare time, he loves to play sports including soccer, volleyball, and flag football. He also enjoys working out, cooking and listening to country music.

Vincent is almost finished his undergrad at the University of Toronto, studying Accounting and Women & Gender Studies, and will be joining KPMG in Audit in the fall. At UofT, he has worked heavily in LGBTQ programming and support in various roles at the Rotman Commerce Pride Alliance, the Lead with Pride LGBTQ Leadership Conference, and VicPride.
Working with Out on Bay Street, Vincent hopes to bridge the gap that sometimes exists between social issues in the community and in business as they relate to LGBTQ people and their intersecting communities. Vincent wants to develop strong, sustainable partnerships with community organizations to increase the diversity of representation at Out on Bay Street and increase insight and learning opportunities for students and professionals.
In his spare time, Vincent loves playing volleyball and recently joined the Toronto Spartans Volleyball League.

Michael is a third year commerce student at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. He is looking forward to starting work as a summer intern at the accounting firm EY. Currently, he is completing a semester abroad at the Vienna School of Business and Economics. He hopes to travel to Greece, Spain, Germany, and Croatia while abroad. At Queen’s, Michael has been involved with several clubs and associations some of which include: the Queen’s Accounting Association and the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition. Recently, Michael has decided to focus his effort on Get REAL, which is a movement of university students that speak to others about unlearning LGBTQ discrimination and bullying. On his free time you may see Michael working out at the gym or going for a swim.
Michael has a passion for helping those in the LGBTQ community and this is why he will be assisting the Out on Bay Street team as the Manager of Community Outreach. As this is his first year being actively involved with the planning of the Out on Bay Street Annual Conference, Michael is excited and ready to see what challenges he may face!

Julian has a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Statistics from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is currently in his first year of the Master of Financial Economics program at the University of Toronto (U of T). Over the years, he has held leadership roles in a number of student-lead organizations including Live In For Literacy, the UBC Economics Students Association, and U of T’s MFE Students Association where he currently serves as the Director of Communications. In his second year with Out On Bay Street, Julian intends to work closely with a team of savvy marketers to further augment the organization’s visibility and brand across Canada. Among other things, Julian is also an amateur graphic designer, photographer, and self-proclaimed travel-junkie.

Russell is Continuing Education & Marketing Manager for a dental company in Downtown Toronto, and also volunteers with Strategic Leadership Forum Toronto. He has an undergrad in leadership from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA in marketing from Saint Mary’s University. This is his first year volunteering with Out on Bay St and he looks forward to supporting the team’s events and initiatives.

Valentin moved to Toronto 4 years ago as an exchange student at Schulich School of Business. He fell in love with Canada right away and decided to stay in Toronto. Valentin’s first job was managing the launch of a subsidiary of a French event agency in Toronto, and he now works as an account manager for a market research firm called Forrester Research.
Valentin has strong knowledge of the conference/trade-show market, which is why he wanted to contribute to the Out On Bay Street Conference. Being part of this project is a great opportunity, and Valentin hopes to make the 2016 edition of this conference a memorable event.
Apart from work, Valentin spends a lot of time drinking wine with friends (Sauvignon Blanc please), playing dodge-ball, and travelling the world as much as he can.

Originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia Martin moved to Toronto to pursue his design education. Martin is studying Communication Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design University, majoring in Graphic Design, minoring in Illustration and Sociology. As well he is studying biology through Ryerson’s Chang School in order to pursue a Masters in Biomedical Communication Design.
Currently, he is a research assistant and designer for a collaborative project between OCADU and Concordia University named Dobble Debate. Designing an educational game to that educates its players on various disabilities and allows them to view the world from the perspective of people who have disabilities.
This is Martin’s first year involved with Out On Bay Street; his goal is to use his skill in design to create a consistent visual identity for Out On Bay Street.

Stefan is the Vice President of Sponsor Relations, and is excited to be entering his second year with Out On Bay Street. He joined the organization to continue the work he started doing in undergrad while volunteering for a different LGBT conference outside New York City and to further his passion for building a truly inclusive LGBT community. After the success of the 2015 conference, for which Stefan was the Manager of Sponsor Relations, he felt so passionate about the work of OOBS that he returned in a larger capacity this year.
Outside of Out On Bay Street, Stefan is a diversity recruitment consultant and founder of Ziversity.com, an online diversity recruiting platform that empowers candidates to embrace every aspect of their identity in the recruiting process and connects with top firms for recruiting and networking.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. He has been working in the financial sector since his undergraduate studies where he started off in retail banking. Over the years, Andy has held several positions including Senior Credit Risk Analyst for mid-market commercial banking, and is currently working as an Analyst in wholesale banking at TD Securities.
Andy is passionate about helping marginalized and underprivileged groups succeed in Canada. Besides Out On Bay Street, he also volunteers as a Mentor for TRIEC and the United Way during his spare time. This is Andy’s first year with Out On Bay Street and is excited to be working with businesses that value diversity and inclusion.

Tony is a final-year MBA candidate at Schulich School of Business, pursuing interests in finance and strategy. Tony’s involvement at Schulich spans many student associations, including the Graduate Business Council, York Consulting Group, LGBT+ Schulich, and Schulich Finance Association. Tony has over 2 years of account management experience in the IT security industry, after completing his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and economics at McMaster University. During his undergrad, Tony was a nationally ranked swimmer and twice-elected team captain for the varsity swim team. As a strong believer in Out On Bay Street’s mission, in his second year, Tony hopes to continue expanding the organization’s reach to students across Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and catching up with friends over brunch or drinks. Tony looks forward to joining RBC as an Associate within the P&CB Leadership Program in July 2016.

Tess is currently a second-year undergraduate student at the Schulich School of Business with aspirations of obtaining her CPA designation. She has been involved with LGBTQ activism since her first year of university and strives to continuously facilitate access to community and professional development opportunities for all LGBTQ students. In her spare time, Tess enjoys trying new restaurants and cafés found via Instagram with her friends.

Kary is currently a student at Trinity College at the University of Toronto studying Political Science. Kary has held roles in the public sector as an intern with the provincial government as well as political roles during the most recent federal election as a campaign manager. Beyond political work Kary is interested in both the financial and legal fields and is intending to pursue further studies in these disciplines following his BA.
This is Kary’s first year with Out On Bay Street, having joined the organization after attending one of the monthly social events.

Afif is a PhD student in Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. His research interests lie in exploring identity dynamics, self-expression, and representation of the self at work. In particular, Afif is interested in understanding how implicit biases towards employees who do not conform to traditional professional images influence their career progression and attainment of leadership positions. Prior to that, Afif worked in consulting on a portfolio of health care reform projects in the USA. Afif joins the Out On Bay Street team this year hoping to draw parallels between his research and the professional development opportunities offered to students, as well as to improve student engagement with the organization across different campuses in Canada.

Having studied electrical engineering for two years at Ryerson University, Zane is currently switching majors and will begin studying finance at the Ted Rogers School of Management this September. In the meantime, he is getting a head start on his financial education and strengthening his professional network. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and intends to become Black Belt in the future.
Growing up in the U.S., he watched as public opinion of LGBTQ people shifted and same-sex marriage went from nonexistent to national recognition. Experiencing this transition imbued him with a passion for LGBTQ rights and the belief that pride is a valuable asset in professional spheres. This is Zane’s first year with Out on Bay Street and he plans to translate this belief into actionable progress for the community.
In his free time, Zane enjoys honing his knitting skills and listening to audio books while running. He is also a self-avowed “productivity nerd” who likes finding new ways to get value out of life.

Shan is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He is an Associate Editor in the Intellectual Property Cell Group of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and is serving an appointment on the University of Toronto Governing Council Tribunal. Shan has worked as the Law and Economics Research Assistant at the law school and has co-authored a research article for publication with Professor Elizabeth Dhuey during his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Science majoring in both business economics and mental health studies, as well as minoring in French. He received both the John Black Aird Scholarship and the Governor General’s Academic Medal for earning the highest academic average at all three UofT campuses.
During his time as President of the Ontario Young Liberals in Oak Ridges-Markham, Shan was actively involved in Dr. Helena Jaczek’s campaign during the 2014 Ontario General Election. He co-authored policies in health and pharmaceutical law, including improving the Special Access Program to ensure physicians can provide the most effective, evidence-based treatments for those suffering from addiction. Shan successfully advocated for this policy to be officially adopted at the Ontario Young Liberals’ Policy Conference.
Having experienced the value of active engagement, Shan, in his role of Manager of Law Programs at Out On Bay Street, seeks to recruit other law students across the country by showing them what the organization and its professional community has to offer. In addition, Shan looks forward to working at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada this summer. He is a fan of the water, and can often be found kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and swimming

Megan is a recent graduate from Seneca College where she specialized in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. In 2014, she completed her Honours Undergraduate degree in History and Business at the University of Waterloo. There, she examined and unpacked the moral and administrative complexities of WWII German history. In September, she is excited to start a new managerial position with a local, growing, and student-focused nonprofit.
Professionally, Megan has over 2 years of communications and outreach experience in both the public and private sectors. As a proponent for inclusion and diversity, Megan is excited to use her communication abilities to expand the Out On Bay Street mission out West. She is also looking forward to using her relationship-building aptitude to make long lasting and genuine connections with participants and stakeholders.
In her spare time, you can find Megan turning double plays on the baseball field, channeling her inner diva at local Karaoke hotspots, and taking in everything Toronto has to offer with her friends and family.

Allan is a currently Professional Development Pharmacist at Ontario Pharmacists Association developing and coordinating Continuing Education courses for pharmacists. Prior to Pharmacy, he graduated from a Medical Radiation Science program at University of Toronto. In his spare time, he enjoys watching horror movies, playing video games and hanging out with his close friends.

Eric is a recent graduate of Ryerson’s Politics and Governance program with a keen interest in public affairs and current events. In the most recent federal election he served multiple roles within the campaign, and has worked extensively in Toronto’s hospitality industry. This is Eric’s first year with Out On Bay Street and he is eager to help support the organization. In his spare time, Eric is either contributing to his blog or working on his latest PR at his local CrossFit gym.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC with a major in International Business Management, and has completed two academic exchanges abroad in both Japan and Germany. He completed his MBA at the Rotman School of Management (UofT) where he specialized in strategy and consulting, and served as an executive member of the Rotman Management Consulting Association and the Out at Rotman LGBTQ network.
Justin currently works as a Manager at Monitor Deloitte in the Strategy & Operations division. He also serves as the National Co-Chair of the Deloitte Pride Network (Deloitte’s LGBTQ employee resource group).
Justin has been actively involved in the LGBTQA community for over ten years. He has previously served on Out On Bay Street’s Organizing Committee as the Annual Conference Co-Chair in both 2012 and 2013, as a Director of the Board in 2014, and as Chair of the Board in 2015.

A graduate of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Engineering at the University of Toronto (class of 2007), Alex holds a degree in Chemical and Biomedical engineering. Currently, Alex is a business analyst at Procter & Gamble and is pursuing his Project Management Professional designation. Alex is involved with P&G’s LGBT organization, GABLE, and has attended as a delegate the Out on Bay and Reaching Out MBA conferences in the US for the past several years; in addition Alex volunteers with United Way and Junior Achievement annually. Alex is also an avid snowboarder, scuba diver, and loves to travel.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Anthropology, and a Certificate in Critical Sexuality Studies, and a Masters of Arts in Anthropology from York University. He has been working for the Ontario Public Service for more than two years and is involved with the Ontario Pride Network organization, and the 519 Community Centre. Daniel has been active in the LGBTQA community for more than eight years and has previously served on Out On Bay Street’s Organizing Committee as Co-Chair of Events in 2013-14, the Annual Conference Chair in 2014-15, and as a Board of Director in 2015-16 (currently serving a two-year term).

Michelle is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Manager at Deloitte in the Audit practice. Prior to her current role, Michelle was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte specializing in sustainability and climate change, as well as governance and risk management in the Enterprise Risk Services practice. Michelle has been an active member of the LGBTQA community for nearly five years, entering her second term on the Out On Bay Street Board of Directors as well as currently serving in her first term on Pride Toronto’s Board of Directors and as a member of the LGBT Employees At Deloitte (LEAD) employee resource group stewardship committee and the Deloitte National Trans Awareness Committee. Michelle is a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours graduate (2012) from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto and is an alumni of Trinity College.

Elias is a healthcare management professional experienced at leading provincial and hospital based system transformation projects. His experience crosses the areas of quality of care, process improvement and strategy development. his work allows him to work closely with a wide range of clinicians, researchers and provincial healthcare leaders. Prior to healthcare, Elias held several positions in the public service at the Government and Parliament of Canada. Elias got involved with Out On Bay Street after attending the annual conference which led to him joining the executive first as VP Media and then as Corporate Secretary. As a member of the Board of Directors, he hopes to help further expand and evolve OOBS’ role in enhancing the diversity of Canada’s emerging leaders as they transition to the workplace. In addition to his professional roles, Elias enjoys reading and discovering the new trends in design as well as playing Rugby. Elias holds a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Paul Jonathan Saguil is Senior Counsel in the Legal Department of TD Bank Group, managing complex litigation, disputes, and investigations involving TD’s various businesses in Canada and internationally, and providing legal advice to other control functions and corporate shared services groups. He is also a member of TD’s LGBTA Working Committee. He previously practised litigation at Stockwoods LLP, including regulatory and professional discipline matters, appeals and applications for judicial review, class actions, defamation and media law, and general civil and commercial disputes. He has appeared before all levels of courts in Ontario, the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court, and various administrative bodies, including the Ontario Securities Commission, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. He received his Hons. B.A. (Philosophy) from York University in 2004 and LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007. Before being called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008, he served as a judicial clerk to the Honourable Justice Phelan of the Federal Court. He has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a co-author of the chapter “The Authorized Provision of Legal Services by Non-Lawyers” in Canadian Legal Practice. In addition to serving on the Board, he acts as pro bono counsel for Out On Bay Street in its intervention in the Trinity Western University legal proceedings. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Community One Foundation and the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association, Chair of the Law Society of Upper Canada Equity Advisory Group and the Ontario Bar Association’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law Section, a former member of the Board of Directors for Pride Toronto and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and a member of the Toronto Police Service LGBTQ Community Consultative Committee.

Jonathan is currently finishing his final term at in the Human Resources Management postgraduate program at Humber College as well as having a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Image Arts – New Media from Ryerson University. Throughout his years at Ryerson he focused his studies in event and art curation as well being actively engaged as a Outreach Manager for TEDxRyersonU, a course union Vice-President, a member of the Ryerson Students’ Union Board of Directors. He was also a curation teams assistant in Distillery District’s section of 2012’s Nuit Blanche and leading in areas such as outreach, promotion, and profession development for shows and initiatives. Currently Jonathan works for City of Toronto Parks & Recreation with a history and involvement as a Location Coordinator, Fine Arts Instructor, and Special Needs Support Staff. He also acts as a Field Coordinator on destination with I Love Travel. His passion resides in enhancing experience through resonance and social acupuncture, affecting people as much as possible. He cannot wait for you experience an amazing year for events with Out On Bay Street.

Amy will be entering her fourth year of undergraduate study at Rotman Commerce, U of T in the fall of 2016 with a specialist in accounting. She joined Out On Bay Street as a Student Ambassador one year ago and has developed a strong passion for women’s initiatives. By becoming part of the Events Team, she hopes to improve OOBS’s engagement with LGBTQ women by encouraging more female students/young professionals to come out and get empowered at OOBS’s future events.
In the past three years, Amy has been actively involved in various leadership/volunteer roles within multiple LGBTQ organizations. She is the current Vice President at Rotman Commerce Pride Alliance and was a Donations Team Member of Pride Toronto during World Pride 2014.
In her spare time, Amy loves traveling, exploring new restaurants, going on photo walks with GTA’s photography enthusiasts, and volunteering at major charity events to give back to the community.

Hannah is currently a Project Analyst at CIBC working on transformational projects within Retail Operations and is also a member of the CIBC GenNext Cabinet. Prior to joining the bank, Hannah attended Queen’s University where she completed a BSc in Kinesiology. At Queen’s, she volunteered as a student trainer with the Men’s Hockey team. This is Hannah’s first year with Out on Bay Street and she was motivated to join after attending the 2015 Annual Conference. Passionate about workplace diversity, Hannah is looking forward to being a part of the team. In her spare time you can find Hannah playing ultimate frisbee, taking wine classes and challenging her friends to board games.

Geoff Logan is a graduate of Ryerson University, where he majored in Marketing. During his time at Ryerson, Geoff was deeply involved in a variety of extra-curricular clubs and programs. Some of them included, TEDx Ryerson U, Ryerson Run for the Cure team, The Ryerson University Finance Society, and the Ryerson University Model United Nations.
Presently, Geoff is a Marketing Specialist in the Marketing Development Rotational Program at TELUS. Outside of work, Geoff continues to remain involved in local community initiatives, and is an avid skier, kayaker and adventurer. Heading into his second year with Out on Bay Street, Geoff is looking forward to expanding the organization’s portfolio of events, especially in the realm of entrepreneurship.

Kent Evans is currently in his first year of studies at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University as part of the dual Juris Doctor / Master of Arts program between the schools. He is currently completing his first year of law school. Next year, he will be begin completing his master’s in International Affairs at NPSIA, focusing on international organizations and global public policy. Kent completed an honours bachelor degree in Political Science and Theatre Studies at the University of Regina before moving to Ottawa. In his first year as part of the Out in the Capital / Out on Bay Street team, Kent is looking forward to working with the team to provide resources to LGBTQ professionals and students in Ottawa.

Olivia Le is a fourth year student at the University of Ottawa, completing a Bachelor of Commerce with a Specialization in Accounting. She is very involved on campus: she volunteers at the Pride Centre, a student service that celebrates diversity and provides resources for lgbtq+ students and their allies; she volunteers as a Productions Assistant with Zoom Productions, where she enjoys filming, acting, and editing short films and events; and she has participated in the DECA Provincials in Toronto as a delegate for DECA UOttawa. When Olivia attended one of the Out in the Capital networking receptions, she found it a huge help hearing from professionals who ambitiously navigate the world of business whilst living authentically. She would now like to apply her skills that she has developed through academic, volunteer, and work experience, as well as her passion for LGBTQ+ student and young professional empowerment, towards contributing to the OOBS National Capital Team.

Raised in Calgary, Clair moved to Ottawa to pursue her passion in music and marketing. Beginning her second year with Out On Bay Street, Clair is excited to further assist in expansion of the organization within Ottawa region. On her spare time, she does musical performances, writes columns for YFS Magazine and loves to eat food.

Jonathan is a currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Ottawa, and will be entering his final year in the fall. He understands the importance of workplace inclusivity along with the challenges associated with it. After attending many Out On Bay Street events held in the Ottawa region, Jonathan joined the team this year in order to assist in the expansion of the organization to the Capital Region while promoting various networking opportunities between LGBTQA+ students and professionals. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys social gatherings, skiing, warm weather, and travel.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalhousie University. During this time, she worked with Teck Resources in its steel-making coal mining operations and with the sales department of Apple Inc. She currently works in the fields of process engineering and 3rd generation modularization with the oil and gas division of Fluor Canada Ltd.
In her efforts to enhance corporate diversity, Michelle has been an active speaker with various organizations such as Techsploration and The Society of Women in Engineering in outreach initiatives geared towards improving the representation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) industries.
She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and works with The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) as a certified Peer Educator in its approach to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in West Africa. In her free time, she enjoys lending her skills to community improvement campaigns and volunteering. Currently, she is designing scan-to-speak devices for visually impaired individuals and helps raise funds for organizations such as the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Touch A Life Foundation and Engineers Without Borders. By supporting the All Out Action Fund, she also assists LGBT youth in countries where they are at significant risk for being who they are.
With a recent relocation to Calgary, Alberta she hopes to develop the Out On Bay Street presence in Western Canada.
